Roll out the pizza dough to a 12-inch circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured pizza peel or a sheet pan.
Spread the San Marzano tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
Slice the fresh mozzarella cheese into thin rounds and place on top of the sauce.
Drizzle the extra-virgin olive oil over the pizza.
Season with salt to taste.
Bake the pizza for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
Let the pizza rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.
