Vermicelli noodles are quick-cooking and good with countless flavors, and used all around the world in a diversity of pasta recipes.

The two main types of vermicelli pasta are: Italian (just plain ‚Äúvermicelli‚ÄĚ) and Asian (aka ‚Äúrice vermicelli‚ÄĚ). At Flora Fine Foods we import traditional Italian vermicelli (made from durum wheat flour).

Vermicelli ‚ÄúPrincipe Di Napoli‚ÄĚ Recipe

16 oz. Package of Flora Vermicelli Pasta
1 oz. Flora Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 ¬ĺ cups cherry tomatoes
¬Ĺ cup tomato sauce
1 teaspoon of hot pepper flakes
¬ĺ oz. parmesan cheese
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
1/8 oz. minced basil
¬Ĺ cup black olives

Heat oil in a frying pan. Add the garlic and hot pepper flakes. Cut tomatoes in half and add them to the oil with tomato sauce.
Cook over high heat 5 minutes. Lower the heat, add the minced basil and whole olives. Cook the vermicelli in salted water, drain them and sauté them gently in the sauce with the parmesan cheese. Garnish with basil leaves. Serves 4.
